Sustainability Framework

The outline against which we focus our resources and plan our activities.

Sustainability is woven into the fabric of our everyday decision making as a business, not as a separate goal or intention. We share a sense of purpose to Re-imagine Global Agriculture and Food Systems. Our dedicated staff members are embedded in our organisation worldwide to help and support our businesses embrace sustainable practices, outcomes, and reporting.

Our Sustainability Framework enables us to translate our Purpose into practice, defining:

    • Capital – We want to draw upon and build our capacity to innovate solutions, thereby creating added sustainable value for our company, as well as to prompt and promote it among the people and communities, and in the environment in which we operate.

    •  Engagement – Our ability to make an impact on the world is mapped against the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the ten Principles of the UN Global Compact. We also map against stakeholder priorities.

    • Implementation – There are ten Priority Areas, arising from the issues on which our operations are best able to have impact, in which we specify challenges we're working to meet and the outcomes to which we aspire.

    To:

    • Understand and mitigate our environmental footprint

    •  Improve the livelihoods of farmers and communities through initiatives that enhance productivity and return

    •  Unlock mutual value with all our partners through collaboration

    •  Ensure a safe, healthy and productive workplace for our people

    •  Participate in professional associations to further develop our key goals
