We also produce African origin brand Unicao, South American origin brand Joanes, the well-established Macao cocoa powder and Britannia speciality fats brands, and most recently, we added Huysman cocoa powder to our portfolio.

The Unicao branded cocoa cakes, cocoa masses and cocoa butters we produce in Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana represent the top origin ingredients in the market today. Selecting the finest regional cocoa beans and using the latest processing technologies, with our Unicao brand we bring the famous flavours of West African cocoa to the world.

Joanes

The power of Brazilian cocoa.

Based and produced in Brazil, Joanes is a recognised and popular cocoa brand across South America. Celebrating 70 years of excellence in 2016, through our Joanes brand we supply cocoa ingredients for customers that specialise in the production of chocolate, chocolate milk and biscuits.

Macao

Enhancing traditional cocoa flavours through advanced technology.

Through our Macao brand we are a leading supplier of value-driven cocoa powders for the Iberian, Middle Eastern, North African, CIS, Central and Eastern European regions. 

Huysman

Value-driven cocoa powders for North America and Asia.

The newest cocoa ingredient brand in the Olam Cocoa portfolio, Huysman delivers best-in-class cocoa powders for specific regional markets.

Huysman cocoa powders are produced for North American customers in Olam Cocoa’s state-of-the-art factory in Bolingbrook, Illinois in the United States, and for Asia-based customers in our Indonesia cocoa factory.

Speciality fats for the confectionery, chocolate and snack food industries.

The Britannia brand offers a range of speciality fats, including vegetable fats and cocoa butter equivalents, improvers and substitutes. With a strong portfolio of original and unique formulations and using proprietary technical expertise, we offer distinctive fat application options to our customers.

Child Labour in Cocoa: What We’re Doing

60% of child labour is in the agricultural sector. That’s a staggering fact made more concerning when you learn in West Africa, where 70% of the world’s cocoa is sourced, 2.1 million children work in cocoa fields.
