Clusters of coffee cherries on a bush, ready to be picked. Olam supplies some of the finest specialty green coffees.

Specialty Coffee

If you’re based in the USA or Europe, we can help grow your roasting business by supplying some of the finest specialty green coffees.

Our Specialty Coffee team works with some of the finest producers, mills and exporters in over 30 coffee producing countries.

We connect roasters with a vast selection of the best green coffees available, from long established specialty origins like Kenya and Guatemala, to emerging specialty regions, like Laos, Yemen and Burundi. Driven by years of experience building relationships with farmers, estates and cooperatives, our reach is unmatched, allowing us to offer unique micro-lots, high quality at high volumes, and everything in between.

Our team has a wealth of experience in all aspects of the coffee industry. We understand both the business and the craft of roasting. Several of our coffee cupping professionals have been certified as Q-graders by the Coffee Quality Institute, enabling us to accurately identify and respond to the requirements of our customers with the right coffees at the right time.

Our Origins

From the growing altitude and rainfall, to the soil and sunshine, to the hands which carefully collected each cherry, to the processes passed down through generations - We offer our customers coffee from over 30 origins, all with their own unique story.

We have been trading in PNG since 2000. Our entry into coffee sourcing in the 2013 strengthened our overall coffee footprint in Asia.

We currently operate 3 mills, 2 at Goroka in the eastern highlands and 1 at Lae, close to the port. We are amongst the top exporters of coffee from the country and have a significant operations in Goroka.

We source coffees from all regions of the Eastern highlands, Western highlands and Southern Highlands and some of our well-known brands are the Kenale Hagen and Tambuna. We have a dedicated team working directly with smallholders to build relationships, and reach even the most remote growers.

We are the largest exporter of Indonesian coffees with access to 95% of the crop.

We trade both Arabica and Robusta coffees from all the major growing regions in Sumatra, Java, Sulawesi and Bali provinces, processing them at our facilities in Medan, Lampung, Surabaya and Makassar.

We manage complex operations of sourcing from more than 250 suppliers. Some of our top green coffee brands are the Garuda Mandheling, Tano Batak, Sunda Hejo and Sulawesi Rantemario. With 3 Q Graders, we are a highly focused specialty coffee unit operating out of Indonesia catering to a global market.
