Our facility, at Ilorin in Kwara State, is the most advanced fish feed manufacturing facility in Sub-Saharan Africa, producing competitively-priced, specially formulated feed which meets international quality and safety benchmarks.
Our 2 fish feed brands – Blue Crown and Aqualis – help promote faster growth. High in nutritional content with amino and protein balance they are tailored to the needs of the African catfish and farming practices in Nigeria.
We are establishing a research and development facility in partnership with Nanyang Technological University, Singapore to drive improvements in fingerling quality through better brood-stock management, prevention of in-breeding and improvement in growth potential.
We are also advancing Nigerian fish farming through developing skills and research and development. We offer a 2-year internship to 15 fish farming graduates from top Nigerian universities who, along with our qualified aqua technicians, train farmers on best fish practices.
As with our poultry feed, most of our fish feed raw materials are sourced from around 30,000 local corn, soybean and cassava farmers. Our aquaculture business supports about 250 jobs indirectly, along with 150 workers at the facility itself.
Our physical presence in major origin and consuming countries for these products has given us an in-depth understanding of local market dynamics, helping us develop long-standing relationships with both producers and consumers.
