Landscape of high carbon stock forest in Congo

Wood Products

We specialise in responsibly-sourced tropical timber.

We manage natural forest concessions and are committed to responsible and sustainable forestry which reduces impact on the lives of communities living in the forests, or the biodiversity.

Our forest concessions in the Republic of Congo cover around two million hectares (ha) which are managed by our subsidiary Congolaise Industrielle des Bois. Around 2.1 million ha of natural forest are FSC® certified (license numbers). In Asia, our subsidiary Concorde Industries Ltd processes Myanmar teak and hardwoods for wood products and furniture.

Olam achieves FSC certification for 100% of its natural forest concessions in the Republic of Congo.
Darshan Raiyani, Senior Vice President and Business Unit Head of Wood Products, Olam.
“Our strong on-the-ground presence enables us to provide a highly informed service for our customers as we can better anticipate short-term movements and long-term trends. We work closely with production units to ensure consistent supply, while maintaining a clear and transparent chain of custody.”

Darshan Raiyani
Senior Vice President and Business Unit Head
