We manage natural forest concessions, as well as source wood from man-made plantations. We are committed to sustainable harvesting which does not impact the lives of communities living in the forests, or biodiversity.
Our forest concessions are in the Republic of Congo and cover around 2 million hectares (ha) which are managed by our subsidiary Congolaise Industrielle des Bois. Around 1.3 million ha are FSC® certified (license numbers). Our most recent concession of around 671,000 ha is also leased from the Republic of Congo.
In Latin America we source plantation wood and in Asia, our subsidiary Concorde Industries Ltd sources and processes wood for furniture.
We have sales offices in Europe, India, Vietnam and China, countries that together account for 80% of global wood consumption. Our marketing infrastructure permits broad market access, in certain instances allowing delivery directly to our clients.
“Our strong on-the-ground presence enables us to provide a highly informed service for our customers as we can better anticipate short-term movements and long-term trends. We work closely with production units to ensure consistent supply, while maintaining a clear and transparent chain of custody.”
