    News

Thank you to all those who applied for the inaugural Olam Prize for Innovation in Food Security, launched in partnership with Agropolis Fondation to mark Olam’s 25th anniversary. With applications now closed, the standard of entries has been high – we wish all candidates the best of luck.

The Olam Prize will be given to a research team or individual, in recognition of an outstanding innovation which carries a significant potential impact on the availability, affordability, accessibility or adequacy of food. The winner will receive a total prize of US$50,000, comprising US$15,000 as a personal award and US$35,000 as a grant for further research.

Judged by an international jury, the winner will be announced at the Global Science Conference on Climate-Smart Agriculture on 16th March 2015, which will convene leading agricultural scientists from around the world. The Olam Prize will be judged and awarded in conjunction with the Louis Malassis International Scientific prizes.

The Olam Prize is one of the four initiatives we have launched this year to celebrate our Silver Jubilee. Along with the Olam Scholarship Programme, the Olam Foundation and Building Sustainable Futures Forum, this prize for food security innovation will help us to continue to grow responsibly while addressing some of the global challenges facing the next generation.
