Olam to launch GreenPass, an end-to-end smart carbon management platform to help companies develop their climate action strategies in their de-carbonisation journey towards Net Zero
Singapore GreenPass1 as a GHG digital information and smart carbon management system will enable companies to measure, monitor, manage/abate and verify the impact of their climate action strategies as they de-carbonise their business. Gorilla Coffee Alliance to Enhance Rural Livelihoods and Wildlife Conservation in the Democratic Republic of the Congo
USAID, Nespresso, Olam Food Ingredients, TechnoServe, the Wildlife Conservation Society, and Asili will partner to support sustainable agriculture and rural enterprise to reduce threats to the critically endangered Grauer’s gorilla South Kivu, Democratic Republic of the Congo The eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo has seen years of economic and political turmoil, which has impacted the well-being of local communities and threatened the unique biodiversity of the area. Now, a new partnership will promote better livelihoods for local farmers and protect the region’s endemic and critically endangered Grauer’s gorilla. Greater urgency and partnership are needed to kick-start a smallholder farmer recovery stuck on pause
The tidal impact of COVID-19 has resulted in humanitarian and economic consequences that have been felt across the globe. The progress made against the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly towards no poverty and zero hunger, has been seriously hampered since the pandemic took hold over one year ago. Hard-won gains such as reducing childhood stunting actually stand to be reversed. An Olam-conducted survey of over 3,400 farmers across 19 countries has shown the impact smallholder farmers have seen to their incomes, livelihoods and their communities as changes and disruptions have been felt across global food and agricultural supply chains.
