Olam wins Best Loan in Singapore at The Asset’s annual Awards
Olam’s sustainability-linked club loan facility has won the Best Loan in Singapore in Asian financial publishing group The Asset’s annual Triple A Country Awards.
Now in its 20th year, the Awards is a well-recognised accolade for the banking, finance, treasury and the capital markets sectors. They identify the best advisors as well as the best deals in the region, with the winners determined by The Asset's Board of Editors and the Asset Benchmark Research team. Previous winners for Southeast Asia have included DBS, Citi, Maybank Kim Eng, Ayala and Credit Suisse among others.
Coverage of the Awards credited Olam’s deal as one of the standouts in Southeast Asia in 2018, as the region’s first sustainability-linked club loan where the interest rate on the facility will be reduced if pre-set improvement targets are achieved.
