Prakash Jhanwer to speak at FT Commodities Summit Asia
Olam’s Regional Controller for Southeast Asia and China, Prakash Jhanwer, today took part in a panel at the FT Commodities Summit Asia. Held at InterContinental Singapore Hotel, the conference organised by the Financial Times saw leading executives discuss the outlook and opportunities for our industry and disruptive factors – from electric vehicles to digital technologies and China’s agricultural policy – that could shape markets in the years ahead.
Prakash spoke at the ‘Agricullture and Asia: Getting closer to the Consumer’ panel, exploring whether there is value in closer links and integration with consumers, if consolidation is inevitable and how China will approach the market. He was accompanied by Vijay Iyengar, Chairman and Managing Director of Agrocorp; Jamie O’Donahue, Chief Executive Officer – Asia Region of Louis Dreyfus Company; and Alan Willits, Chairman of Cargill Asia Pacific.
