The Sixth Gef Assembly:Achieving a Sustainable Food and Land Use System
Interventions at the landscape scale, based on comprehensive land use planning, are necessary to foster a transformational change in food systems and land use.
Olam’s CEO and co-founder Sunny Verghese will join fellow industry heads from Unilever, International Food Policy Research Institute, FAO and WWF among others, at the Sixth GEF Assembly in Da Nang, Vietnam this week. Sunny will lead a high-level roundtable to examine the emerging opportunities for achieving a sustainable food and land use system and the role that governments and the private sector can play.
Also speaking at the Assembly, Chris Brown, VP of Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability at Olam, will be contributing to discussions on mainstreaming biodiversity across agricultural sectors and natural capital assessment.
