Olam Sanyo Foods launches first noodles in Nigeria to be made with real egg
A new addition to the popular Cherie Noodles brand, Cherie Egglicious launched in Nigeria this week. Cherie brand ambassador and Kannywood (Northern Nigeria filmstar), Ali Nuhu, described the noodles as “delicious and nutritious.”
Cherie Egglicious are the first noodles in Nigeria to be made with real egg while also being fortified with vitamins and minerals. Market research revealed that mothers in Nigeria were looking for a product that was easy to prepare but also healthy to feed to their children.
Developed by Olam Sanyo Foods, a joint venture between Olam International and Japanese noodle maker Sanyo Foods, Cherie Egglicious will be available in supermarkets across the country. Olam has a strong heritage in Nigeria and Cherie forms part of Olam’s existing Packaged Foods Business which caters to the West African market.
