We continue to focus on sustainable food production to meet ongoing consumer demand and need for nutrition. Precision nutrition and digital monitoring ensures continued high productivity and quality milk production, whilst maintaining the health of our herd.

Milk Production

Rusmolco has achieved record annual milk production of over 270 million litres, up 25% from 2024. The total herd grew by 15%, increasing from 38,505 animals to over 44,000 animals, reflecting ongoing investment in infrastructure and herd development. Productivity gains continued, with average milk yield rising to almost 41 litres per cow per day, underpinned by improvements in feeding strategies and reproductive management. Combined with improvements in reproductive indicators, including an increase in pregnancy rate from 33% to 37%.

Animal Welfare

Rusmolco adheres to strict animal welfare standards, ensuring the health and comfort of our herd. Our policies include optimal living conditions, precision nutrition, the five freedoms of animal welfare, and digital health monitoring. By prioritising cow well-being, we enhance productivity while maintaining ethical farming practices.

Flora & Fauna Conservation

We support biodiversity through responsible crop rotation, beehive preservation, and recreating parks and orchards on farmlands. These efforts enhance soil health, support pollinators, and restore natural habitats. Our initiatives also include protecting surrounding forests and grasslands, ensuring a balanced ecosystem.

Protecting the Environment

We're committed to reducing our carbon footprint by 50% per kg of Fat and Protein Corrected Milk (FPCM) by 2030, with an ultimate goal of achieving carbon net-zero dairy production by 2050. These targets drive our ongoing innovations in sustainable farming practices.

We transform 100% of cow manure into valuable organic fertilisers and bedding materials while recycling 80% of production waste, including plastics and packaging. Our precision farming techniques have reduced chemical crop protection applications by 30%, and we're actively improving water recycling systems.
