Amendment To The Announcement In Relation To Changes In Subsidiaries
Olam International Limited (the “Company”) refers to its earlier announcement numbered 00099 issued on 12 June 2009 in relation to the changes in subsidiaries (the “Announcement”). Amendments have been made to the Announcement concerning the increase in investment in Olam Gabon SA and the amended announcement is set out below:
“The Company has increased its investment in its wholly-owned subsidiary, Olam Gabon SA, from FCFA 400,000,000 to FCFA 3,450,000,000 through subscription of an additional 152,500 shares at FCFA 20,000 per share. The increase has been fully paid up by way of a cash injection.”
The amendments do not change the overall conclusion that the increase in investment in Olam Gabon SA is not expected to have any material impact on the net tangible assets or earnings per share of Olam Group for the financial year ending 30 June 2009.
