From 15-16 May, the 6th Indonesian International Cocoa Conference is taking place in Nusa Dua Bali, Indonesia. The event is organised by ASKINDO and the World Cocoa Foundation, and promotes sustainability at every level of the cocoa industry, leading to a better cocoa future for manufacturers, traders and stakeholders. It brings together leading cocoa industry figures to debate the industry’s most challenging issues. Key questions include what is required to empower smallholders for a sustainable cocoa industry.

Olam’s Tejinder Singh Saraon, Director at Olam Europe Limited, will join a panel discussion today about the way forward for smallholder cocoa farmers, chaired by the President of the World Cocoa Foundation and featuring both public and private sector perspectives.

Drawing from over 30 years’ experience in cocoa, Gerry Manley, Olam’s Managing Director and Global Head of Cocoa and Chairman of the Federation of Cocoa Commerce, has presented his views on the outlook for the global cocoa market, and will also deliver a speech at the Cocoa Gala Dinner, sponsored by Olam.
